Bradford Health Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality nursing care in an assisted living or similar setting. This role emphasizes wound care, pain management, venipuncture, and patient education to support residents’ comfort and safety.

The LPN collaborates with Nurse Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans and maintain regulatory compliance, while contributing to a compassionate, healing environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Valid Nursing License (LPN) in Alabama.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Experience in wound care and pain management.
• Ability to perform venipuncture safely.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality nursing care within an assisted living facility or similar healthcare setting. This position focuses on providing direct patient care, including wound management, pain control, and performing venipuncture, ensuring patients’ comfort and safety. The LPN will also be responsible for educating patients and their families about health conditions and care plans, promoting better health outcomes. Collaboration with Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare professionals is essential to coordinate care and implement treatment plans effectively. Ultimately, the LPN contributes to maintaining a supportive and healing environment that enhances the quality of life for all residents under their care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid and current Nursing License (LPN) in the Alabama.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated experience in wound care and pain management.
• Ability to perform venipuncture safely and competently.
• Experience working in an assisted living facility or similar healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous collaboration experience with Nurse Practitioners or advanced practice providers.
• Additional certifications in wound care or pain management.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Continuing education in patient education techniques or geriatric nursing.
