Job summary

Citizen Advocates in New York State seeks a licensed practical nurse to provide clinically competent care across our service areas. You will use the nursing process to collect data, plan, implement and evaluate care for individuals we support.

The role requires NY LPN licensure, ongoing professional education, and strict adherence to OMH/OASAS/OPWDD regulations, as well as strong collaboration with clients, families and health team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program and New York State licensure required.
• Continuing professional education required.
• Must comply with OMH, OASAS and OPWDD regulations and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Observe the client: collect and document health status and medical history.
• Follow orders from doctor, including medication and injections.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:The Licensed Practical Nurse will be clinically competent while delivering care to individuals we support utilizing the nursing process of collecting clinical data, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation.
