Job summary

ArchCare in Sparkill, NY seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for a day shift position providing direct patient care under RN supervision. You will follow the plan of care, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.

The role requires an active NY LPN license and at least one year of LPN experience, with opportunities to participate in continuing education. This per diem site offers accrued vacation, holidays, and pre-tax commuter benefits.

Qualifications

• Current NY State Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Must have at least one year of experience as an LPN.
• Accredited LPN School.

Responsibilities

• Carries out the Agency’s mission, philosophy, goals and objectives within guidelines of Agency policy and position function.
• Interprets and implements the Agency’s philosophy to staff and members of the community.
• Assumes responsibility for assignments given, seeks supervision appropriately, and is accountable for his/her actions by performing within the limits of his/her education and experience.
• Knows and conforms to the laws governing the practice of a practical nurse and provides nursing care using all elements of the nursing process.
• administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and performs nursing procedures and techniques within scope of practice.
• Represents the Agency at blood pressure clinics to provide screening and health promotion.
• Participates in personal and professional growth and development.
• Maintains and upgrades professional knowledge and practice skills through attendance/participation in continuing and in-service education programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the RN.
