Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support providers by preparing patients, assisting with exams, and managing supplies. You will perform suture preparation, carry out orders, provide health assessments, prep for physicals, calibrate equipment, and conduct tests such as spirometry, EKGs, and venipuncture, reviewing results with the provider.

Current New Jersey LPN license and BLS from American Heart Association are required; graduate of

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey LPN license is required.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for providers and assists with exams.
• Assists provider with suture preparation and carries out orders.
• Provides health assessments and preps for physicals, calibrates equipment.
• Performs tests (spirometry, EKGs, venipuncture) and reviews results with the provider.

Short Description

Prepares patients for providers, assisting with exams, assisting provider with suture preparation, carrying out orders, (i.e.; various supplies/tests/ X-Rays/dispensing of medications.) Provides health assessments, preps for physicals, completes calibration of equipment, and performs various testing to include,(Pod’s, Respiratory approvals, Spirometry, Audiograms, EKG's, Drug Testing, Timms testing, Breath and Saliva Alcohols, Venipuncture etc.Reviews physical/tests results with provider and handles phone calls (i.e.; case management, testing/physical results).

Experience Required

Current New Jersey LPN License (Licensed Practical Nurse).
BLS issued by the American Heart Association

Education Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
