Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and registered nurses.

The role includes clinical and administrative duties such as physical assessments, medication administration, patient education, and maintaining a safe patient environment in line with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current New Jersey LPN License.
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association.
• Experience in clinical and administrative nursing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision of physicians, providers and RNs.
• Perform physical assessments and administer medications as directed.

Short Description

A nonexempt position responsible for the nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and/or registered nurse(s). May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including physical assessments, medication administration, promotion of wellness through patient education and teaching, care of the patient environment and organizational tasks. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Initiates and implements patient teaching plans. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

Education Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

License/Certification Requirements

Current New Jersey LPN License (Licensed Practical Nurse).

BLS issued by the American Heart Association
