Department: Courtyard Villa Assisted Living
Reports To: Assisted Living Nurse Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Facility: Hand County Memorial Hospital, Miller, SD

*$7,500+ sign-on bonus available for qualified applicants with a three-year employment commitment to Courtyard Villa Assisted Living. Bonus amount is determined based on experience and will be discussed during the hiring process.

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care to residents within the scope of practice defined by the South Dakota Board of Nursing and facility policies. The LPN assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans, ensures accurate documentation, and promotes the physical and emotional well-being of all residents. This position collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager, residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver safe and compassionate care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care and supervision to residents following the established plan of care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, documenting per facility protocol.
• Observe and record changes in residents’ conditions, promptly reporting to the Nurse Manager and physician as needed.
• Participate in care plan development and revision based on resident assessments and goals.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date resident medical records and documentation.
• Assist in orientation and mentoring of new nursing staff and caregivers.

Work Environment

• Must maintain professionalism during stressful or emotional situations
