Job summary

Sunrise Group in Maryland seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide medical services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role includes basic health monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with Direct Support Professionals to ensure optimal health and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have an active LPN license, experience with disabilities, and be able to complete required background checks and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Must possess current and valid license for Practical Nurse.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing basic healthcare services according to each individual’s plan and ensures their health and wellbeing.
• Performs delegated tasks such as blood pressure monitoring, weights, and other assigned duties.
• Keeps documentation accurate and complete per regulations; maintains organized supplies and restocks as needed.
• Collaborates with Direct Support Professionals to meet the individuals’ needs.
• Communicates any changes in medical or behavioral status to the supervisor promptly.
