Job summary

Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking Full Time Licensed Practical Nurses, (LPN) for night shifts. Our LPNs provide direct and indirect patient care and maintain regulatory standards while communicating with physicians and the care team to adjust treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Licensed Practical Nurse licensure is required.
• ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Minimum six months to one year of work experience preferred.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages are desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care that meets psychosocial, physical and general needs.
• Meet communication needs of patient and family and reflect professional expectations.

Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking Full Time License Practical Nurses, (LPN) for night shifts. Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Communicate with physicians and team members about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
