Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our plasma center team in Indiana. The role focuses on donor suitability, health education, and safety, performing exams and evaluating donor histories to maintain eligibility throughout donation processes.

You will build rapport with donors, counsel on test results and potential hazards, and assist in staff training while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current CPR certification required
• Work performed both standing and sitting for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
• Ability to bend and twist neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
• Frequent hand movement and ability to make fast, simple movements of fingers, hands, and wrists
• Ability to make precise coordinated finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects
• Frequent foot movement; may squat, crouch, or sit on one's heels on rare occasion
• Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
• Hearing acuity essential
• Color perception/discrimination and correctable near and far vision
• Ability to communicate and understand spoken information
• Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
• Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions
• Ability to communicate sensitive information to diverse groups
• Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32 degrees F
• Personal protective equipment required, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear
