Job summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in the Adams County Adult Correctional Complex in Gettysburg, PA.

This full-time night shift role (6:00pm – 6:00am) focuses on providing comprehensive nursing care and maintaining electronic medical records within a correctional health care setting. The ideal candidate will hold PA LPN licensure, demonstrate clinical competency, and communicate effectively with inmates and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and ensure proper information flow to staff.

• Administer medications and document administration.

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for dedicated and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the medical department at the Adams County Adult Correctional Complex located in Gettysburg, PA.

Available Shifts:

• Full-Time Night Shift (6:00pm - 6:00am)

Job Responsibilities:

• The Licensed Practical Nurse will primarily be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is disseminated to appropriate personnel. In addition, the Licensed Practical Nurse will also maintain, update, and work with electronic medical records and ensure that they are secure. Other responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
• Conducting sick calls for inmates/patients and providing treatment for illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by the PCM Medical Director.
• Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participating in the formulation of the plan of care.
• Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record.
• Responsible for Medication Administration and documentation.
• Attending MAT meetings and IDT Meetings weekly

(Please note that the pay range is not a sliding scale based on experience; it reflects the base pay as well as the differentials offered between shifts.)
