Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide licensed nursing care in ambulatory/clinic settings under supervision. Responsibilities include collecting patient data, administering medications, preparing exam rooms, and supporting procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; other certifications may be required by setting.

Responsibilities

Job Description SummaryWe are excited to announce an opening for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN). The Licensed Practical Nurse provides licensed nursing care to patients in an ambulatory, clinic, or other care delivery setting under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Collects clinical information, administers medications and treatments, supports examinations and procedures, provides patient education, and documents care according to established nursing protocols and scope-of-practice requirements.The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) delivers patient care within established protocols under close supervision by more senior clinical staff, escalating anything that falls outside defined parameters. Decisions follow established clinical guidelines and are reviewed routinely. Applies broad foundational clinical knowledge to defined assignments while building hands-on proficiency in the discipline.How will you make an impact & RequirementsKey Responsibilities• Collect patient histories, vital signs, medication information, symptoms, and other clinical data and communicate significant findings to the supervising clinician.• Administer medications, immunizations, treatments, and routine nursing interventions as authorized by applicable law, organizational policy, and the assigned plan of care.• Prepare patients, examination rooms, instruments, and supplies for clinical visits, tests, and procedures.• Perform approved clinical procedures, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, wound care, and other nursing activities within the licensed scope of practice.• Reinforce provider instructions and educate patients and caregivers about medications, treatments, follow-up care, preventive services, and when to seek additional medical attention.• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, communications, and care activities accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.• Identify changes in patient condition, safety concerns, abnormal findings, or matters outside established protocols and escalate them to the appropriate licensed clinician.Qualifications• Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program and 0 to 2 years of post-license clinical nursing experience.• Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the state of practice required.• Current Basic Life Support certification preferred; additional certifications may be required based on the assigned care setting.• Foundational knowledge of practical nursing standards, medication administration, infection prevention, patient safety, and applicable scope-of-practice requirements.• Ability to use electronic health record systems, medication administration records, clinical equipment, and standard office technology.• Effective patient communication, clinical documentation, organization, and teamwork skills, with the ability to recognize and escalate changes in patient condition.About Millennium Physician GroupFormed in 2008 and headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida, with offices in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas, Millennium Healthcare is the largest independent physician group in the state of Florida and one of the largest in the United States.
