The Licensed Practical Nurse’s (LPN's) primary responsibilities are to provide respectful, comprehensive, and person-centered direct care services to individuals in the residential homes provided by Minnesota State Operated Community Services (MSOCS).

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Takes temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure readings.
• Administers and records prescribed medication.
• Keeps clinical charts and reports on the physical and emotional state of clients.
• Promotes and participates in rehabilitation activities.
• Maintains a clean and hazard-free environment.
• Promotes clients' personal hygiene.
• May regulate parental fluids and administer intramuscular injection.
• Administers emergency first aid.
• Orders supplies and equipment.
• Operate a motor vehicle and possess a current, valid driver’s license
• Current employees are not eligible for the hiring bonus.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN
