Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for Health Central Women in Dallas, TX. Full-time, day shift with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

You will support patient flow, perform exams preparation, and educate on medications while maintaining accurate records. Requirements include an accredited practical nursing degree and state licensure, with a preference for 2+ years in hospital or clinic settings.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, and vitals
• Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and provide meds instructions
• Manage patient records and posting lab/test results
• Schedule tests and treatments including referrals and pre-authorizations
• Assist provider with exams and preparation for physicals
• Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients
• Control inventory and monitor supplies
• Record health history and note abnormal conditions
• Respond to and screen calls for referrals
• Triage patients to maintain department flow

Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of any necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals

You will notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions

You will manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results

You will schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider

Assist provider with physical exams and in preparation for physicals

Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients

Control inventory and monitoring of supplies

Record health history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physicians

Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician

Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

What Qualifications you will need:

A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred
