Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking a qualified nurse to join our night-shift team. The role covers 6pm-6am shifts with every other weekend, offering a Starting Rate of $29.58/hr, up to $33.15/hr, plus differential to $33.90/hr. 1 year of nursing experience and licensure are required.

Responsibilities include safe resident care, medication administration, and shift reports. We emphasize quality, patient safety, and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year in nursing or related role.
• License, registration and/or certification required: Yes.
• Must be able to safely administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe resident care, demonstrating knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies.
• Participates in the improvement process of quality resident care.
• Incorporates age-specific needs and treatments into care.
• Communicates resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfer, and at shift report.
• Administers medications according to the five rights and documents accordingly.
• Performs treatments using sterile or clean technique.
• Administers external feedings as prescribed.
• Completes care activities within shift times.
• Cooperates with reassignments for resident care.
• Reports and discusses care problems with nursing management.

Functions

• Provides safe resident care, demonstrating knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies. Maintains awareness of new updates standards and incorporates them into his/her nursing practice throughout the continuum of care.
• Participates in the improvement process of quality resident care.
• Incorporates age-specific needs, provision of care, procedures, and treatments.
• Communicates pertinent resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfer, and at shift report.
• Accurately administers medications according to the five rights of medication administration and documentation of same.
• Accurately performs treatments utilizing sterile or clean technique.
• Accurately administers external feedings.
• Completes resident care-related activities within scheduled shift time periods.
• Cooperates with reassignments made in the interest of resident care.
• Reports resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.
• Delegates resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.

Working Environment

Safety Equipment:Job may require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask, for infection prevention.

Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure: OSHA Category I- Routine/anticipated exposure. Work involved exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.
