Job summary

Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing team in Birmingham, AL. You will provide high-quality resident care, administer medications, and collaborate with RNs and CNAs to maintain excellent patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, infection control, and a patient-centered approach, with weekend and evening shifts available.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in Alabama.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but new grads with the right attitude and skills are welcome to apply.
• Solid understanding of medication administration and clinical documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents, monitoring their progress and reporting any changes to the RN and physician.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and on time.
• Help carry out and update care plans for our residents.
• Support and guide our CNAs to ensure a smooth and efficient shift.
• Keep accurate and complete documentation of resident care.
• Serve as a calm and friendly point of contact for residents and their families.
• Maintain good infection control practices and ensure the unit is survey-ready.
