Job summary

Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality care to residents. The LPN will work closely with the team to support residents' physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Key responsibilities include administering medications, updating care plans, and guiding CNAs to ensure smooth shifts. A current Alabama LPN license and CPR certification are required, with long-term care experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and monitor progress, reporting changes to RN/physician.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and on time.
• Update and help carry out care plans for residents.
• Support CNAs to ensure smooth and efficient shifts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care.
• Be a calm, friendly point of contact for residents and families.
• Maintain infection control practices and unit readiness.

Shifts Available: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm/

Weekends 6:30pm-7:00am with Baylor plan

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our team to ensure their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to residents, monitoring their progress and reporting any changes to the RN and physician
• Administer medications and treatments safely and on time
• Help carry out and update care plans for our residents
• Support and guide our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure a smooth and efficient shift
• Keep accurate and complete documentation of resident care
• Serve as a calm and friendly point of contact for residents and their families
• Maintain good infection control practices and ensure the unit is survey-ready

Requirements:

• Current, active LPN license in Alabama
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but new grads with the right attitude and skills are welcome to apply
• Solid understanding of medication administration and clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current CPR certification
