Health Advocates Network is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a facility in Bethesda, MD. This is a registry position with our company.

Pay Rate: $30 / hour

W2

Qualifications

• Minimum Educational: Diploma of LPN or LVN from an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program.
• Certification/Licenses Requirements: Valid, unrestricted, LPN/LVN license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of continuous employment as a Licensed Practical Nurse prior to the start of work at the MTF.

Job Description

• Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders/conditions, diagnostic studies, and treatments related to prevention and detection of illnesses in adults.
• Perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty, assessing adult and geriatric patients, and demonstrating professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and automated medical records.
• Maintain professionalism in conduct, including interactions with team members, honest documentation, and responsiveness to feedback.
• Use the nursing process for assessments, patient preparation for treatments and procedures, including surgical interventions.
• Perform/assist with clinic-specific procedures according to established policies and guidelines, supervise paraprofessionals, and operate specialized medical equipment such as IV pumps, cardiac monitors, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, etc.
