A leading not-for-profit Senior Living Community in Washington, DC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide resident care while adhering to regulations and facility policies. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN will be responsible for medication administration, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining confidentiality. Compensation : $33.50–$41.00 / hour (commensurate with experience & licensure)
Setting : Continuing Care Retirement Community
Reports To : Delegating Nurse

Position Summary & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, the LPN provides direct and indirect resident care in accordance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and this client's policies.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver treatments, medication administration, and diagnostic procedures as delegated by the Delegating Nurse or physician
Monitor resident progress; initiate corrective actions and escalate concerns to the Delegating Nurse
Complete and distribute nursing reports; obtain and relay follow-up information between shifts
Review charts for new admissions and transcribe orders to resident records for Delegating Nurse sign-off
Verify all physician and nurse-delegated orders before forwarding to the pharmacy
Delegate tasks to GNAs / CNAs based on competency; follow up to ensure proper care and documentation
Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy at all times
Demonstrate courteous, cooperative behavior with residents, families, and team members
Uphold facility EEO, safety, and infection-control standards
Requirements
Current, valid LPN license in Maryland
BLS Certification required
Technical or other nursing training (LPN diploma or equivalent)
Strong communication, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently under stress and make sound judgments
