Job summary

The Orchards at Armada in Armada, MI is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. The successful candidate will provide nursing care, administer medications, and support patients and families in collaboration with the health care team.

Expect duties across admission, discharge planning, vital signs monitoring, and charting while maintaining a safe, patient-centered environment at our facility in Armada.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients as assigned.
• Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned.
• Reinforces supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families.
• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.

• Records observations in patient charts.
• Maintains environmental conditions conducive to patient comfort and safety.
• Assists with unit management and can assume charge of unit as assigned.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing care to patients as assigned
• Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned
• Reinforce supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families
• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities
• Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
• Observes and reports patients' vital signs, symptoms and general condition to the appropriate individual(s)
• Records on patient charts observation of patient’s responses to nursing care rendered
• Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients
• Assists with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Qualifications and Skills:

• LPN Licensure: 1 year (Preferred)
