Job summary

University of Maryland in College Park is seeking a journey-level plumber to support the campus plumbing needs, including underground and building distribution systems. Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of and skill in the theory, principles, methods and techniques used in the plumbing trade.
Thorough knowledge of basic mathematics including area, volume, weights, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions; OSHA regulations related to plumbing; plumbing codes for water and waste systems.
Skill in using and maintaining plumbing tools; installing and repairing sanitary plumbing and appliances; welding, soldering and threading pipe.

Responsibilities

Maintain the campus plumbing systems including underground and inside building distribution networks (2"–48" diam).
Work with water, sanitary and storm sewers.
Read blueprints and specifications to perform installations and repairs.
