Job summary

University of Maryland, College Park is seeking a skilled plumber to perform journey-level plumbing work and support campus distribution systems. The role covers underground and inside distribution, handling water, sanitary, and storm sewer networks ranging from 2 to 48 inches.

Applicants must have four years of progressive plumbing experience and hold Maryland-licensed plumber certification or reciprocity. A valid MD driver’s license and cross-connect/back flow certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Four years progressively responsible experience in the plumbing trade.
• Certification as a licensed plumber from the State of Maryland or from another state with reciprocity.
• Knowledge of plumbing theory, methods, and techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Performs plumbing work at the journey level and supports campus plumbing needs.
• Maintains underground and inside building distribution systems (water, sanitary sewers, storm sewers).
• Works with pipes ranging 2” to 48” and uses required PPE.
