Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Renton office team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and manage a patient caseload across King County, delivering therapies and education with documentation in accordance with agency standards.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in Physical Therapy, a valid state license, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license enabling travel to multiple

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid license, registration, or permit to practice in state of operation.
• CPR certification must be current.
• Licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
• Able to implement care plans and communicate findings to PT/physician.
• Educate patients and families in home safety and equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and documents treatment per physician orders and agency policy.
• Documents interventions, approaches, materials and treatment priorities.
• Educates and counsels patients and keeps the team informed of patient status.
• Presents pertinent patient information to supervising therapist and communicates changes.
• Provides skilled treatment according to patient needs and payer requirements.
• Collaborates with team and accepts assistance in planning and intervention.
• Completes daily notes and required forms in a timely manner to prevent interruptions in care.
• Meets productivity standards and participates in agency meetings and committees.
• Negotiates patient participation in treatment times and plans.

The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing treatment to patients, functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides patient and family education and counseling regarding concerns, planning, implementing and modifying treatment procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation according to policies and procedures and current standards of practice. The Physical Therapist Assistant manages a caseload in conjunction with supervising therapist and in accordance with agency productivity standards, attends and participates in patient and other conferences and agency in-services as assigned.

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy

Responsibilities:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will:

• Provides patient care and documents treatment in accordance with physicians orders, agency policy and patient needs.

• Provides organized and efficient patient treatment which includes advising, educating and counseling the patient.
• Presents pertinent patient information to supervising therapist and keeps team informed of patient status.
• Provides appropriate skilled treatment to patients according to patient needs and within the parameters set by the agency and payer.
• Seeks and accepts assistance from team members in treatment planning and intervention.
• Accurately documents, completes and submits daily notes, assists with other required forms in a timely manner to prevent interruptions in patient care.
• Meets agency productivity standards and uses work hours efficiently.
• Attends and participates in agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Appropriately negotiates the patient' s participation in treatment, treatment times and treatment plans.
