Job summary

AccentCare Inc. in Renton, WA is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time on-site role to support a licensed Physical Therapist with patient care, education, and documentation within an interdisciplinary team.

You will manage a caseload, travel to locations as needed, and adhere to productivity standards and agency policies. The position offers a Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid license/registration to practice in the state of operation.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
• Ability to educate patients and families in basic home safety and medical equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and documents treatment per physician orders, agency policy and patient needs.
• Documents appropriate interventions, approaches, strategies, materials and establishing treatment priorities.
• Provides organized and efficient patient treatment including advising, educating and counseling the patient.
• Presents pertinent patient information to supervising therapist and keeps team informed of patient status.
• Provides appropriate skilled treatment to patients according to patient needs and within the parameters set by the agency and payer.
• Meets agency productivity standards and uses work hours efficiently.
• Attends and participates in agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Appropriately negotiates the patient\'s participation in treatment, treatment times and treatment plans.

What You Need to Know

The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing treatment to patients, functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides patient and family education and counseling regarding concerns, planning, implementing and modifying treatment procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation according to policies and procedures and current standards of practice. The Physical Therapist Assistant manages a caseload in conjunction with supervising therapist and in accordance with agency productivity standards,

attends and participates in patient and other conferences and agency in-services as assigned.

• Accurately documents, completes and submits daily notes, assists with other required forms in a timely manner to prevent interruptions in patient care.
• Meets agency productivity standards and uses work hours efficiently.
• Attends and participates in agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Appropriately negotiates the patient' s participation in treatment, treatment times and treatment plans.
