Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program or certificate from an accredited school is required.
• All modalities/equipment used by a Physical Therapy Assistant as outlined by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans as indicated, with the Physical Therapist, considering patient age and diagnosis.
• Adheres to documentation procedures, including daily and weekly progress notes.
• Reports observations and patient responses to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Assists in discharge planning, home programs, patient/family education, and equipment needs.
• Supervises Rehab Technicians, PTA students, and Volunteers.
• Participates in orientation of new Associates and scheduling for patient coverage.

Education
