Job summary

Frontier Home Health in the Fort Worth area is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide physical therapy services under the direction of a supervising physical therapist and according to the physician’s plan of care.

You will treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance, while guiding them through therapeutic exercises and gait training using approved modalities.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a PTA where the HHA is located.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-approved PTA program and pass national exams.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy under the direction of the physical therapist and the physician’s plan of care.
• Treats patient to relieve pain and restore or maintain function.
• Guides and assists patients in therapeutic exercises and gait training.
• Uses physical agents such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and massage as directed.
• Observes patient responses and reports changes to the PT and organization staff.
• Educates patients on wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic devices.
• Maintains clinical notes and records within required time frames.
• Participates in home health team meetings and in-service education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
