Qualifications

• Minimum Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• New Mexico PTA license.
• AHA BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to pass aquatic competency test within 90 days if aquatic therapy will be part of work/treatment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient care based on the Physical Therapist’s evaluation and plan of care.
• Delivers safe, planned patient care with accurate documentation and communicates patient condition to patient and family.
• Documents care and patient response; notifies supervising therapist/physician as appropriate.
• Maintains a safe treatment environment and prepares supplies and equipment.
• Directs and supports Rehab Techs and students; provides education and training as needed.
• Participates in department meetings and case conferences.
