Gila Regional Medical Center in Missouri seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
You will implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and collaborate with Rehab staff to deliver safe, effective therapy. Requires an associate degree and PTA license; BLS certification within 90 days.
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for treating patients who require physical therapy services. S/he uses physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the physical therapy assistant provides treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings, executing the goals given by the supervising physical therapist.

Implements patient care based on the Physical Therapist’s evaluation and the patient’s present level of function related to their physical, psychosocial, age and medical needs, involving the patient, as well as the family/caregiver in the planning and delivery of care.
