Job summary

Uniontown Hospital in Pennsylvania is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant Level I & II to perform medically prescribed therapy under supervision of a PT. The role supports the plan of care and delivers patient-centered rehab.

Candidates must hold PTA licensure in MD/OH/PA/WV (or PTA Compact), obtain BLS within 30 days, and have four years of PTA experience. Preferred certifications include APTA Advanced Proficiency, BIAA Brain Injury Specialist, and LANA Lymphedema Therapist. 40 hrs/week.

Qualifications

• Current PTA licensure in the applicable state or PTA Compact license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Four years of PTA experience.
• Preferred: APTA Advanced Proficiency, BIAA Brain Injury Specialist, LANA Lymphedema Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Applies techniques to prevent or treat conditions per the plan of care.
• Determines and revises priorities for direct/indirect patient care with nursing.
• Instructs patient and caregiver and documents demonstrations.
• Documents treatments according to department policies and EMR.
• Submits charges for services using the billing system.
• Oversees supervision of students and volunteers.
