Job summary

CHI Mercy Health Valley City is seeking a Physical Therapist to help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.

You will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in North Dakota.
• Successful completion of the APTA certification examination.
• Six months of Level II fieldwork completed.
• Valid North Dakota driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial evaluations, develops and updates Plans of Care.
• Provides treatments as included in the Plan of Care (POC).
• Delivers instruction and demonstration of equipment, treatments, disease processes, self-care and exercises to patients, families and staff.
• Maintains timely and accurate documentation of services in the medical record per policy.
• Communicates with medical, nursing and other Rehab staff.
