CHI Mercy Health Valley City is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. You will perform initial evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments.

In this role you will work with an interdisciplinary rehab team, document services accurately, and educate patients and families about self-care and exercises.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of North Dakota.
  • Successful completion of the APTA certification examination.
  • Successful completion of six (6) months of Level II fieldwork.
  • Valid North Dakota driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competence with clinical skills necessary to provide care appropriately to all the patient groups served by the physical therapy service.
  • Performs evaluations/assessments, develops, re-evaluates and adjusts the Plan of Care for each individual.
  • Provides treatments as included in POC.
  • Provides instruction in/demonstration of equipment, treatments, disease process, self-care and exercises to patients, family, and staff.
  • Provides timely and accurate documentation of services provided in the medical record, per policy.
  • Communicates with medical, nursing and other Rehab staff

Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements
Required
