The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing therapeutic intervention, education, and treatments to acute care and outpatients under the direction of a Physical Therapist at Corpus Christi Medical Center. The clinician will organize and implement physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, surgery or illness. This position requires proficiency in acute care and outpatient services. Responsibilities also include maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice, while providing the highest quality healthcare that is patient oriented, advanced in technology, cost effective and with care and compassion. The hospital mission and vision will be insured by the integration of Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, and throughout the coordination of Case Management, Social Work and departments in the hospital and community.
Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 630+ bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend community. Bay Area is our full-service acute care hospital and offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, bariatric, GYN and robotic surgery. Our programs focus on the needs of individual patients, while employing the latest techniques and research of 21st-century medicine.
