Overview:
Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is hiring a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated in-house therapy team. This is an excellent opportunity to support patient care and recovery in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Follow physician orders and treatment plans as directed
Monitor and record patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition
Adjust interventions as needed in collaboration with the supervising therapist
Document treatments and outcomes using an electronic medical record system
Measure and record residents’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance
Communicate effectively with clinical staff and support a positive therapeutic environment
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Pennsylvania PTA license (or eligible)
CPR certification (preferred)
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work well within a team-oriented care setting
