Overview:
Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is hiring a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated in-house therapy team. This is an excellent opportunity to support patient care and recovery in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Follow physician orders and treatment plans as directed

• Monitor and record patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition

• Adjust interventions as needed in collaboration with the supervising therapist

• Document treatments and outcomes using an electronic medical record system

• Measure and record residents’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Communicate effectively with clinical staff and support a positive therapeutic environment

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Current Pennsylvania PTA license (or eligible)

• CPR certification (preferred)

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work well within a team-oriented care setting
