Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Orlando, part of Excelsior Care Group, is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated rehabilitation team in Orlando, FL. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to deliver safe, compassionate therapy to residents in a skilled nursing setting.

Requirements include an active Florida PTA license and at least 1 year of experience in a SNF or rehab facility, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida PTA license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, rehabilitation center, or similar setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to resident safety, quality care, and professionalism.
• Ability to follow treatment plans, safety procedures, infection control standards, and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy programs.
• Provide safe and effective physical therapy interventions under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, transfers, strengthening, balance, and functional activities as directed.
• Monitor residents during treatment and report changes in condition, progress, or concerns to the Physical Therapist and appropriate clinical staff.
• Follow all facility, departmental, safety, infection control, and clinical policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the facility dress code.

Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide safe, effective, and compassionate physical therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy programs.
• Provide safe and effective physical therapy interventions under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, transfers, strengthening, balance, and functional activities as directed.

• Inspect therapy equipment and promptly report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or safety concerns.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required, including when handling bodily fluids.
• Immediately report missing, damaged, or unclear safety labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to support quality resident care.
