Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Merritt Island is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will assist the Physical Therapist to help residents regain strength, mobility, and independence while delivering high-quality care.

The role requires Florida PTA licensure and at least 1 year in a nursing home or rehab setting, along with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current, active Florida PTA license.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a nursing home or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong communication and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing safe, effective, and individualized therapy treatments.
• Follow established departmental policies and maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure resident well-being.
• Maintain a clean, organized therapy environment with properly functioning equipment.
• Promptly report hazardous conditions or equipment concerns to your supervisor.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
• Immediately notify your supervisor of missing or unclear labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
