Job summary

Excelsior Care Group is actively recruiting a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for Melbourne Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Melbourne, FL. This PRN position offers a pay rate up to $37 per hour based on experience.

As PTA you will assist the therapist in delivering sessions, follow policies, maintain safety and infection control, keep areas organized, and report hazards to your supervisor; PPE and SDS labeling compliance as required.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida PTA license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a nursing home or rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering safe, effective, and individualized therapy sessions.
• Follow departmental policies, including dress code and maintaining a respectful attitude.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure resident safety.
• Keep therapy areas organized and ensure equipment is clean, functional, and readily available.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment issues promptly to your supervisor.
• Utilize PPE as required for tasks involving possible exposure to bodily fluids.
• Notify supervisor regarding missing or unclear labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
