Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Tuberculosis screening or health-screening requirements must be met.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-service skills; ability to follow plans of care.
• Excellent documentation, organization, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with the supervising PT.
• Commitment to ethical, compassionate patient care and manageable caseloads.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments according to the established plan of care.
• Carry out therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and related interventions.
• Observe and document patient responses and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and home programs.
• Complete treatment notes and maintain clinical documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain professional communication with clinicians, physicians, patients, and caregivers.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.
• Participate in meetings, training, and quality-improvement activities.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory requirements in everyday practice.
• Support a patient-centered, welcoming clinic environment.
