NovaCare Silver Spring, part of Select Medical, is hiring a Maryland Licensed Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant for orthopedics, concussion, neuro, sports medicine. Full-time 40 hours, compensation $32.00-$38.00 per hour, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

On-site mentorship is available and you’ll join a respected clinical team delivering care that maximizes function and helps patients return to sport, work, or daily life.

Qualifications

• Must have Maryland PTA license or license in process.
• Must have passed the CAPTE national PTA exam.
• Graduated from an accredited PTA program.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Deliver high-quality outpatient physical therapy services in accordance with center policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with centers, patients, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
