Responsibilities

As a PTA, you will be a vital part of the rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover movement, reduce pain, and regain function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Implement treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to meet patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Lead patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities, instructing proper techniques and monitoring progress.
• Apply treatment modalities correctly, monitor patient responses, and adjust as needed.
• Educate patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
• Monitor and document patient responses and progress, communicating regularly with the supervising therapist for plan adjustments.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license/certification in the state of practice.
