Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Maryville, IL seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) for a part-time role. You will support therapy plans, deliver direct patient care and help educate patients and families.

The position offers flexible hours and opportunities to float to Swansea and O'Fallon. Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting with active state licensure or eligibility, and strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with therapists

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient with therapy equipment, software and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists and provide direct patient care including exercises, manual therapy and modality applications.
• Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols.
• Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in line with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
