Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Implementing treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to meet patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Leading patients through prescribed exercises and activities, instructing on proper techniques, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
• Applying treatment modalities appropriately, monitoring responses, and adjusting as needed.
• Educating patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management.
• Monitoring patient responses, documenting progress, and collaborating with the supervising therapist on treatment adjustments.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current license or certification in the state of practice
