Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you play a vital role in the rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Implementing patient care plans developed by the physical therapist to meet rehabilitation goals.
• Leading patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities, instructing proper techniques, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
• Applying treatment modalities correctly, monitoring patient responses, and adjusting treatments as needed.
• Educating patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, communicating with the supervising therapist, and collaborating on treatment adjustments.

Qualifications
