Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you are a vital part of the rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Patient Care Implementation: Assist in executing treatment plans created by the physical therapist to meet patients' rehabilitation goals and needs.
• Therapeutic Exercises and Activities: Lead patients through prescribed exercises and activities to enhance physical function and recovery. Instruct on proper techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback for safe and effective participation.
• Modalities and Physical Agents: Properly apply treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track patient responses, document progress, and communicate updates with the supervising physical therapist, collaborating on treatment plan adjustments as needed.

Qualifications
