Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform laboratory testing under supervision in a 184-bed acute care hospital in Palmdale, CA. The role requires compliance with hospital policies and efficient performance in the Laboratory Department.

Qualifications include at least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience, a High School Diploma or higher, and a California Phlebotomy Tech license. CPI must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory experience required.
• High School Diploma or Undergraduate Academic Degree.
• California Certified Phlebotomy Tech license.
• CPI required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Department Manager and/or Supervisor the Laboratory Assistant is responsible to perform laboratory testing following the policies and procedures of the Laboratory Department and the hospital.
• The Laboratory Assistant utilizes the process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate Laboratory performance.
