Job summary

Accendra Health, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to support essential pharmacy operations under a supervising pharmacist. The role touches referrals, patient communications, and accurate order processing in a compliant, efficient workflow.

Responsibilities include verifying demographics and insurance, maintaining patient records, and assisting with inventory and order fulfillment while collaborating with other teams. A Utah license and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Utah pharmacy technician license active and in good standing.
• Experience in Third Party Claims processing.
• Knowledge in pharmacy operations and products utilized by our pharmacy.
• Knowledge in pharmacy regulations and documentation.
• Knowledge in prescription authorization processes.
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Process new referrals completely and accurately.
• Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Create and assure efficient workflow and profitable orders.
• Communicate effectively with referral sources and patients.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, allergies and medical conditions.
• Contact patients prior to next order due date and manage prescriptions with refills and authorizations.
• Verify ongoing pharmacy benefits and delivery address accuracy.
• Keep customer database current with order information and activities.
• Identify and refer clinical issues to the pharmacist for consultation.
• Answer hi-volume inbound calls and perform outbound calls as needed.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient processing and delivery.
• Fill patient prescription orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with ordering and inventory management.
• Learn and use the pharmacy operating system and related tools.
