Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Manistee, MI, is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and supporting clinical documentation. The role requires a Michigan license (temporary acceptable with full licensure within 180 days) and PTCB certification within 90 days of hire.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of pharmacy experience, strong clerical skills, and excellent handwriting and math abilities.

Qualifications

State Pharmacy Technician License issued by the State of Michigan or a temporary license by starting date and full licensure within 180 days of hire.
PTCB Certification (CPhT) preferred and required within 90 days of hire.
High school diploma (or GED).
1 year of pharmacy experience.
General clerical skills; legible handwriting and/or printing.
Numerical comprehension and mathematical skills.
Ability to communicate verbally and have good telephone etiquette.
Failure to obtain full license within 180 days will result in termination (unless starting in Pharmacy Tech Trainee).
Training/experience in aseptic technique and IV admixture preparation is desirable.
Knowledge of medications and medical nomenclature is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in performing patient care activities including preparing and distributing medications.
Maintain medication inventory and support clinical documentation related to medication therapies.
Provide safe high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients.
