Job summary

Hy-Vee in Minnesota is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Department. In this fast-paced retail setting you will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team to deliver outstanding service while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will participate in immunizations, inventory management, wellness programs, and community outreach, upholding HIPAA privacy and OBRA '90 requirements.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; continuing education to keep license active.
• Familiarity with OBRA ’90 and state/federal regulations.
• Ability to counsel patients and interact with healthcare providers professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 regulations and all statutes.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and with inventory control including ordering and stocking.
• Balance third-party accounts and monthly inventory; support pharmacy team and wellness programs.
• Administer immunizations as certified and promote wellness in the community.
