Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Registered Pharmacist for our Pharmacy department in a fast-paced retail setting. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, support the pharmacy team, and participate in wellness programs and community outreach.

You will administer immunizations as certified and ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations while maintaining high levels of customer service and accuracy in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
• Ability to administer immunizations required

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 regulations and all state and federal statutes and regulations
• Assist with controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information
• Assist with reconciliation and balancing of third-party accounts and monthly inventory
• Mentor and train pharmacy staff and participate in education and training
• Market pharmacy services by visiting schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to regulatory procedures
• Report to Pharmacy Manager about changes or issues
• Administer immunizations as certified
• Adhere to Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines

Education

College degree and licensure in pharmacy

6 months to 1 year related work experience
