Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist in Nebraska to ensure adherence to pharmacy procedures and SOPs, and to supply medications safely to client facilities under supervision.

The role involves compliance with state and federal regulations and collaboration with the VP of Operations and Pharmacist In Charge. Responsibilities include evaluating orders, maintaining labels and dispensing accuracy, advising on therapy changes, and managing medication databases.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Nebraska; state regulatory compliance required.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, interactions and administration.
• Maintain dispensed medications with correct supply and labeling.
• Propose therapy changes to physicians and client staff when needed.
• Maintain customers’ databases with medical history and clinical data.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related questions and issues.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and other healthcare team members about medication queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Maintain register of controlled drugs for legal stock control.
• Ensure proper security for medications.
• Perform on-call duties as required.

Education

Licensed Pharmacist in Nebraska

Long Term Care experience preferred
