Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist in Nebraska to ensure adherence to pharmacy procedures and SOPs under supervision of the VP of Ops and Pharmacist In Charge. The role focuses on safe supply of medications to client facilities and compliance with state/federal regulations.

The position involves evaluating orders, dispensing accuracy, therapy recommendations, and maintaining patient records within a CARE-oriented, service-driven environment in a pharmacy and office setting.

Qualifications

  • Nebraska Pharmacist license is required.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Experience in hospital and retail pharmacy or other medical fields is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and independence.
  • Computer skills; familiarity with Framework/ECM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
  • Ensure medications are dispensed correctly with proper labeling.
  • Recommend therapy changes to physicians and staff when needed.
  • Maintain customer databases including medical histories and labs.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and health care team about queries.
  • Supervise preparation of medicines.
  • Maintain register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control.
  • Ensure proper security for medications.
  • Perform on-call duties when required.

  • Position Summary: The Licensed Pharmacist will ensure the adherence of pharmacy procedures and SOPs. In accordance with company laws, state and federal regulations. The Licensed Pharmacist will ensure regulations are correct and the safe supply of medical products to the client facilities, under the general supervision of the VP of Ops & Pharmacist In Charge.
  • Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
  • Maintain dispense medications are correctly supplied and labeled.
  • Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
  • Maintain customers’ databases including but not limited to medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
  • Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related queries.
  • Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
  • Maintain a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
  • Maintain proper security conditions for medications.
  • Perform “on-call” duties when required.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Nebraska.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, walk, bend, and crouch frequently.
  • Ability to occasionally perform light lifting (up to 20 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.
  • Repetitive computer and phone use.
  • Work is performed in a pharmacy and office environment.
