A concierge nutrition company seeks a part-time, contracted licensed performance nutritionist. The ideal candidate will create personalized nutrition plans, work with high-profile clients, and have experience in a one-on-one setting. This remote position offers a chance to work with elite athletes and professionals using a proven system of education and coaching.
Athleats Nutrition is a concierge nutrition company combining functional medicine with performance nutrition. We work with active gym goers, elite, student and professional athletes, entertainers and high performers outside of sports. We provide concierge level nutrition coaching to elite performers nationwide (sometimes worldwide). Currently we are looking to bring on a part time, contracted licensed performance nutritionist.
You will work independently using our proven system of education and coaching. Our clients are all seeking high level personalized nutrition coaching and expect concierge level services. We will provide you with the clients. You must enjoy being involved with clients, students, and support staff on a regular basis. A quick learner with a willingness to grow is our ideal candidate. This is not an entry level position. We can teach you high level sports nutrition but you should have experience with one-on-one client work, sports nutrition and sales calls. This job is remote.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with high performing, high profile & high net worth individuals to reach their body composition, athletic and lifestyle goals.
2. Create detailed nutrition plans based around specific macros, nutrient timing, schedules, lifestyles, travel, location, tournaments, etc.
3. Take discovery calls and convert them to sales
4. Work with personal assistants, managers, agents, chefs and other staff for local and travel food arrangements.
5. Educate clients about nutritional protocols, giving them the why behind what they are doing.
6. Have a solid understanding of functional medicine, (root caused medicine) and application of protocols.
7. Analyze lab chemistry and create protocols based upon labs
8. Application and analyzing longevity protocols (red light therapy, cold plunge, sauna, hyperbaric chamber)
9. Work with gut health protocols (SIBO, GI MAP, Celiac, IBD)
10. Coaching habits change through nutritional practices.
11. Create and provide protocols for snacks, meals ideas, shopping lists.
12. Create and implement nutrition protocols for injury recovery.
13. Create and execute detailed hydration protocols.
14. Body composition -execution, analyzing and monitoring, (skin fold calipers, Inbody, DXA, and/or other diagnostic tools)
15. Source and communicate with chefs, meal prep, medical professionals etc.
16. Have an ongoing relationship with the athlete's medical team (ATC, PT, Doctors), understand basic protocols for recovery, load management, rehab, return to play, stay ready and IR.
17. Communicate with the athlete's coaching and strength & conditioning team.
18. Comprehensive knowledge of S&C and sports performance is required (yoga and Pilates doesn’t count)
19. Prescribe supplement protocols following safe sport practices.
20. Possible group speaking and education for athletes, medical staff, coaches or parents.
21. Recognize disorder eating and behavioral eating patterns.
22. Ideally understand hormones and peptides (not required)
Requirements:
1. At least 3 years’ experience as a performance nutritionist in a one-on-one setting.
2. Must be a RD or CNS (CSSD a plus)
3. Mastered degree required
4. Understand the schedule, lifestyle and mindset of student athletes, elite athletes and high net worth professionals.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of macronutrients, how to apply them in a daily routine to reach performance and body composition goals.
6. Experience working with athletic populations.
7. Experience working with root caused medicine (autoimmunity, gut health, hormones, FODMAP etc.)
8. Background in athletics, personal training and or strength and conditioning.
9. Excellent understand of supplements & their application in sport (NSF for Sport/ Informed Sport)
10. Ability to analyze labs, CMP, CBC, Hormone Panels, Thyroid, Micronutrients, Fatty acids (functional testing, DUTCH, GI-MAP, Genova, Methylation a plus)
11. Good understanding of strength & conditioning.
12. Able to work in collaboration with coaching staff & performance staff including medical, S&C, trainers.
13. Well-spoken and can communicate clearly with diverse populations.
14. Be an independent thinker, work in a fast-paced environment, make critical thinking decisions, complete tasks in a timely manner and have excellent organizational skills.
15. Ability to work nontraditional hours. (Must have daytime and some evening availability.) Weekends may be necessary in some cases.
Preferred experience:
1. Experience with sales and discovery calls
2. CSCS or similar
3. Understanding of modalities such as red-light therapy, stem cells, HBOT, cold plunge, contrast therapy, etc.
4. Experience with ED / behavioral eating
